Vehicles are usually manufactured in either left-hand drive (LHD) or right-hand drive (RHD) configuration, referring to the placement of the driver’s designated seating position and the driver’s controls within the vehicle. Most vehicles manufactured for sale in the United States are left-hand drive in contrast to most vehicles that are manufactured for the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia, which are right-hand drive. Some vehicles are not LHD or RHD such as trailers, motorcycles, etc.
